Call them one of the fastest rising duo in the music industry and you wont be wrong. They are Nigerians and both are from Anambra state. I got the chance to see these guys firsthand last year, i was attending a conference in awka, Anambra state capital and they were billed to entertain invited guest at the conference that night. Well, that night i had already concluded, when they were called on stage to perform, that it was to be another
boring performance
But alas, five minutes on, i had to swallow my words back, cos these exceptional duo took everyone by surprise and the hall erupted with loud ovation, infact we were hypnotized. Afterwards, i picked special interest in this group because it was obvious that with such a talent the coast was clear for them. So much have not been heard about them but this group made up of two creative individuals are sure are stars to watch out for.
Meet Chikezie Ebuka Joseph a.k.a Kinjoe and Egeonu kenechukwu, a.k.a Xcell drama, they go by the stage name "FLAKES".
Their kind of music is hiphop and a touch of dancehall party jamz. About 3 years ago or so, they met at air wave studio in awka, Anambra state and that was when their music story started, although before then, they've been doing their 'thing' individually. Working together was easy for them, because they got lots in common. They never gives up, been where they are together was never easy. Today, they've taken their dream of establishing themselves in the music industry with some hit tracks featuring some established artist in the music world.
Notably on there hit track is 'go down', a scintillating party jam featuring wizkid, two years ago. This track maintained a top ten place in sound city for a whole week. Big up! I never stop playing this track though, well my 'babe' loves it too, lolss.
Other track such 'on my mind' featuring Vector and 'wokiriwo' featuring Sortitude; are songs that gonna make you lose your mind.
Chikezie is a composer, a lyricist and kenechukwu can do same as well but he is also a very good sound engineer. The duo are base in awka where they do their thing and they got plan to explore the nigeria music world with unique flows.
They are working on a music video, set to be out later this year. Expect this video to be hot, it is actually shot in South Africa...woooow. The song is titled 'pepperoni', this gonna be hotter than pepper.
